LIA COVID-19 Response
As an Association, the Lake Iroquois Board of Directors intends to comply with the executive orders regarding COVID-19 issued by Governor Pritzker for the State of Illinois. Currently, Illinois is under a stay at home order which provides for outside activity but limits public and private gatherings to a single household. Under the current orders, the swimming pool, beach, and playground will remain closed but boating will be allowed. LIA is asking all residents to comply with the Executive Orders and restrictions put in place so we can keep our community safe. Under the executive order, enforcement of these rules falls specifically to state and local law enforcement. Illinois has developed Restore Illinois, which is a five phased plan aimed at re-opening the state by regions while addressing the health concerns of residents. Phase 3 Recovery allows for outdoor recreation in groups of 10 or fewer but will not start any earlier than May 29th. Phase 4 Revitalization allows for groups of 50 or fewer as well as all outdoor recreation to resume but this phase cannot start any sooner than June 26th. Currently there is no timeline for Phase 5 Restoration which is the complete re-opening of all businesses, schools, recreation, and public events based upon the development of a vaccine or treatment for COVID-19. Please be assured that LIA will do their best to re-open all of our facilities as soon as we are allowed to do so, but understand that there may be some restrictions in place when this does occur. We appreciate your understanding in these uncertain times and are available if you have any questions or concerns.
